Missing 9-Year-Old Was Found After Kidnapper Left A “Sloppy” Ransom Note

Nine-year-old Charlotte Sena, missing for two agonizing days, was discovered alive in a camper van after her kidnapping ordeal in Moreau Lake State Park, New York. The nation was captivated by her heart-wrenching story. Charlotte’s family’s nightmare began when she didn’t return from a bike ride. A massive search involving 400 personnel ensued, but hope dwindled.

A breakthrough came when fingerprints on a ransom note matched a 1999 DWI arrest. SWAT teams swooped in, arresting 47-year-old Craig Ross Jr., who lived in a camper van on his mother’s property. Charlotte was found hidden in a cabinet.

Governor Kathy Hochul announced Charlotte’s rescue, and Ross Jr. is facing intense interrogation. The young girl’s resilience and swift law enforcement response ensured her good health upon rescue.

While there is no known motive yet, the community celebrates Charlotte’s safe return, emphasizing the human spirit’s resilience and the dedication of those who protect and serve their communities.
