A Dallas couple, Jenny and Chris, recently became parents to exceptionally rare identical quadruplet boys. Jenny worried about accommodating their growing family, considering their small cars. They got the surprise of their lives when the ultrasound revealed quadruplets.
Jenny recalled, “We’re having twins.” The doctor revealed, “There are four babies in here.” Chris joked, “I’m not coming back next week because there will be five.” Remarkably, fertility drugs weren’t involved.
Only 72 documented cases of identical quadruplets exist globally. Jenny and Chris, both only children, didn’t plan for this. Jenny followed a 3,000-calorie diet, constantly hungry with her active boys. In the NICU, Hudson, Harrison, Henry, and Hardy are thriving. Jenny is recovering well.
In Jenny’s words, “It was a two-bottle-of-wine kind of night.” The couple, who grew up as only children, hoped for two kids. Now, they have four, making their family truly unique.
