A group of kids, known as the “Tremendous Twelve,” became internet sensations when they ingeniously formed a human arrow to help guide a police helicopter to capture two burglary suspects. The children, aged between six and twelve, were on an Easter egg hunt near Capel, Surrey. When they saw the police helicopter circling and a man fleeing, they decided to act.
A nine-year-old girl explained, “We could see it said ‘police’ on the bottom… Let’s get into an arrow.” They laid on the ground, and the helicopter finally followed their direction, leading to the capture of the suspects. Surrey Police shared the footage online, making the kids famous. Their creativity was praised by Sergeant Paul Sochon, who noted, “The initiative they displayed was vital.” The children were thrilled, and their actions were compared to scenes from Scooby Doo and Enid Blyton’s books.
