Officials provide more details about Matthew Perry’s death

“Friends” star Matthew Perry, 54, was discovered dead at his Pacific Palisades residence. Authorities received a call about an unresponsive person in a hot tub at around 4 p.m. The LAFD stated, “An adult male patient was deceased prior to first response arrival.” Firefighters removed him from the hot tub, and the cause of death will take time to determine. No drugs were found, but toxicology tests will be done. LAPD Capt. Scot Williams said, “The cause of death may not be known for some time, but at this point foul play is not suspected.”
