Update Emerges After 7-Year-Old Collided With Truck While Chasing Ball Into The Road

In a heart-wrenching accident, 7-year-old Emery Burrows from Utah was seriously injured when she was hit by a pickup truck while chasing a soccer ball into the street. The St. George Police Department responded swiftly, and Emery was rushed to the hospital. The driver of the truck cooperated with the investigation.

Emery had been playing soccer with her brother in their yard when the ball rolled onto the street. She waited for the road to clear before darting out, but unfortunately, the driver didn’t see her. Emery suffered a skull fracture, brain bleeding, and a severe leg injury but has shown signs of improvement.

Her mother started a GoFundMe campaign to support Emery’s recovery, and it has already raised over $9,000. This tragic incident highlights the need for caution around children playing near roads and showcases Emery’s remarkable strength in the face of adversit
