Armed Robber Tries To Rob Gas Station, Doesn’t Realize Man Behind Him Is An Ex-Marine

A Mansfield firefighter and former Marine, Daniel Gaskey, is being hailed as a hero after thwarting an armed robbery at a Midlothian gas station. The incident occurred at the Exxon Oasis Food Store on June 26, and the security footage captured the daring act. The robber, identified as Dylan Bearden, entered the store wearing a mask and brandishing a knife. Gaskey was at the counter when Bearden pushed him and demanded money. Gaskey reacted swiftly, disarming Bearden and holding him until the police arrived. Bearden now faces charges of Aggravated Robbery.
