Mom shares video of dying 2-year-old daughter’s last moments singing her favorite song

Magalli Jimenez faced every parent’s nightmare when her daughter, Ava Skye, was diagnosed with a rare muscular cancer at just 13 months old. Despite initial remission, Skye relapsed, and due to her age, surgery was not a viable option. Heartbroken, Jimenez placed Skye in hospice care, focusing on making her last days comfortable.

A GoFundMe page, organized by a friend, aimed to raise $5,000 to fulfill Skye’s bucket list. Skye passed away on August 22, 2022, with her mother by her side. A poignant moment captured on video showed Skye singing her favorite song to her mother.

Jimenez, while forever heartbroken, shared the video to highlight Skye’s beautiful spirit. She urged others to cherish their children and emphasized the need for support in such difficult times. Skye’s family now grapples with the immense loss, remembering the joy she brought to their lives.
