In a disturbing incident at a Houston Jack in the Box drive-thru in March 2021, a dispute over missing curly fries led to a fast-food worker, Alonniea Ford, firing shots at a family. Anthony Ramos, accompanied by his pregnant wife and daughter, addressed the missing order, escalating into a confrontation. Video footage shows Ford throwing items and later reaching for a firearm. As the family drove away, she fired shots at them. Authorities released surveillance footage over two years later, leading to Ford’s arrest. She pleaded guilty to a deadly conduct charge. Ramos, shocked by the incident, stated, “I really couldn’t believe what was happening. It was very, very scary.” The family sued Jack in the Box for gross negligence, seeking accountability for the traumatic experience.
