Disney Under Fire For Selling “Pride” Products For Babies As Young As 3 Months

Amidst controversy, Disney is under scrutiny for offering “Pride” merchandise tailored for infants as young as three months old. Critics argue that the move is inappropriate, targeting an age group too young to comprehend the concept. The controversy stems from concerns about the commercialization of LGBTQ+ symbols and themes.

Critics emphasize the potential impact on children, with Dr. Jane Anderson stating, “It’s crucial to consider the child’s understanding. A baby cannot comprehend pride.” Some argue that this merchandise may push an agenda on children too early.

Disney defends its products, asserting the items promote diversity and inclusion. In response to the criticism, a Disney spokesperson stated, “We strive to create a range of products that appeal to diverse preferences.” Nevertheless, the debate continues, questioning the appropriateness of introducing pride-themed products to such a young demographic.
