In a shocking shopping encounter, a 25-year-old woman discovered a 3-meter python on a supermarket’s spice shelves. The incident, captured in viral images, occurred in a Sydney suburb. The brave woman, identified as Helaina Alati, recounted the moment, saying, “I turned my head and saw him 20 inches in front of me, staring at me.”
Helaina, known as “the snake girl” among friends, recognized the snake as a python diamond. Surprisingly, the snake seemed to appeal to her for assistance, as she described, “He looked me in the eyes as if to implore, ‘Can you please take me out?'” Helaina, skilled in snake handling, filmed the snake and informed store staff.
Following instructions to fetch a special snake bag, Helaina returned, gently tapping the snake’s tail to guide it into the sack. The snake was later released into the vegetation surrounding Sydney. This unique shopping escapade showcased Helaina’s reptile rescue skills, earning her the playful nickname from friends.
