Managing everything, from excavation to tiling, Alex cut costs to around $10,000. His motivation was clear: “I did every last part of it all by myself.” Previously, he saved £75,000 building a home theater. Now, with fiancee Sarah and kids Allie and Eddie, he’s rebuilding their house. A dream of a backyard pool led Alex to research, driven by a video tutorial.
