Christian actor blacklisted from Hollywood, refused to go against faith

Hollywood actor Neal McDonough, renowned for roles in Yellowstone and Captain America, shares how being blacklisted in 2010 prompted him to establish his own film company. Let go from ABC’s Scoundrels for refusing intimate scenes due to his Christian beliefs, McDonough faced a professional low. He turned to his faith, acknowledging, “God has given me so much.” Speaking about his unwavering stance against explicit scenes, he stated in January 2020, “I won’t mention the Lord’s name in vain, and then I won’t kiss another woman.” McDonough, married for almost 20 years, clarified that his commitment to his wife fueled this decision. With Ruvé, his wife, they have ventured into movie-making to create content that glorifies God. McDonough emphasized, “Not just to make a movie, but to do a movie that actually gives Him glory – that’s our goal.”
