Joke of the day: Parents want to know what their son will be when he grows up

Being a parent is a wonderful experience, filled with surprises and anticipation about who your child will become. Here’s how one couple decided to get a sneak peek into their son’s future career:

A man and his wife were curious about what their son will be when he grows up. The father came up with a test. “I have an idea!” he said. He placed a ten-dollar bill, a bottle of whiskey, and a Bible on the coffee table.

“He’ll be a banker if he takes the money,” the father explained. “If he takes the whiskey, he’ll be a wino, and if he chooses the Bible, that means he’ll be a preacher.”

The couple then hid just before their son came through the door, watching eagerly from their hiding spot.

The boy entered and walked over to the coffee table. He picked up the ten-dollar bill, examined it briefly, and then put it down. Next, he uncorked the bottle of whiskey, sniffed it, and also set it back down. Finally, he picked up the Bible, flipped through it, and placed it down as well.

Making a decisive move, the boy stuffed the money into his pocket, grabbed the whiskey, and walked off with the Bible tucked under his arm.

Stunned, the father exclaimed, “Well, how do you like that! He’s going to be a politician!”
