Neighbor Blocked My Driveway with His Construction Vehicles without Asking – I Taught Him a Lesson of Respect

When my neighbor’s construction crew started using my driveway without permission, I tried to handle it reasonably. But after weeks of frustration, I knew I had to teach Dave a lesson.

I woke up at 5 AM, ready to confront the issue. As I made coffee, my son Tyler joined me. We heard the rumble of a truck outside, and I rushed to the window to see Dave’s crew blocking my driveway again.

“Mom, you gotta do something,” Tyler said. I nodded, feeling the anger bubble up.

I stormed outside in my pajamas. “Dave! What the hell are you doing?”

Dave shrugged. “It’s just for a couple of hours. Can’t you park on the street?”

“No, Dave, I can’t. This is my property,” I said, my voice shaking with anger. He finally moved the truck, but I was still fuming.

At work, my boss noticed my frustration. “Rough morning?” she asked.

“My neighbor’s construction crew keeps blocking my driveway,” I explained.

That evening, I found two trucks parked across my driveway. Furious, I decided to fight fire with fire. The next morning, with my son’s help, I blocked the driveway with my car.

Dave called, furious. “Move your car!”

“Not happening, Dave. You can’t use my property without asking,” I replied, smiling.

That evening, Dave confronted me. “You’ve cost me a whole day of work!”

“Now you know how it feels,” I said. “From now on, ask before using my driveway.”

Dave nodded reluctantly. “Alright, I should’ve been more considerate.”

Finally, we reached an understanding. Dave’s crew resurfaced my driveway, and peace was restored
