Jennie Garth’s First Public Sighting Since Losing ‘BH, 90210’ Co-Star Shannen Doherty
Jennie Garth recently appeared in public, sparking concern among fans after the passing of her “Beverly Hills, 90210” co-star Shannen Doherty. The two had a famously tense relationship on set but reconciled in recent years.
On “Beverly Hills, 90210,” Jennie and Shannen’s on-screen rivalry mirrored real-life tensions. Their reconciliation became public in 2012 when Shannen attended Jennie’s 40th birthday party. By 2023, Jennie openly supported Shannen during her cancer battle, stating, “Obviously. Whatever she needs.” Shannen passed away on July 13, 2024, after battling cancer. Jennie shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, writing, “I am still processing my tremendous grief… our connection was real and honest.”
Shannen’s passing was confirmed by her publicist, Leslie Sloane, who noted, “She was surrounded by her loved ones and her dog, Bowie.” The loss was felt deeply by the “Beverly Hills, 90210” family, with many castmates sharing their grief and fond memories online.
A few days after Shannen’s death, Jennie was seen in public looking somber. Social media users expressed concern over her appearance, with one commenting, “Hope she’s okay. RIP Shannen.”
