Brazilian rock star Ayres Sasaki, 35, tragically died on stage in Salinopolis, Brazil, on July 13 after being electrocuted during a concert. A wet fan hugged Sasaki during a sound check, leading to a fatal electric shock. “The musician got an electric shock and died right there,” reports confirm.
Authorities are investigating the incident, but the cause of the fan’s wet condition remains unclear. The Solar Hotel, where the concert was held, expressed their condolences, stating, “We are fully committed to helping his family and cooperating with authorities.”
Sasaki was also an architect and urban planner, leaving behind his wife, Mariana, whom he married just 11 months ago. Friends remember him as a “talented performer” and a “great friend.” Singer Adriano Freitas praised his “amazing talent,” recalling Sasaki’s reputation as the “king of encores.” Comedian Natto Almeida added, “What will definitely stand out about Sasaki is his good heart.”
The family plans to release a statement once more information is gathered.
