In 2017, Hannah Simmons was driving her nine-month-old daughter, Alannah, to a doctor’s appointment in Gainesville, Georgia, when tragedy struck. Hannah’s car lost control and collided with a truck, killing her, Alannah, and her best friend instantly.
Witnesses at the scene called emergency services but realized nothing could be done. Anisa Gannon, passing by on her way to work, snapped a photo of the closed road. Later, she noticed a beam of light in the image, illuminating the spot where the accident occurred.
When Anisa showed the photo to the victims’ families, they were deeply moved. “It looked like they were heading to heaven,” Anisa’s aunt remarked. Hannah’s mother, Jodi, found comfort, saying the light was a “pathway to heaven.”
Despite some dismissing it as a reflection, the family saw it as a sign of peace, believing their loved ones were in a better place.
