Key battleground states remain too close to call, leaving the path to 270 electoral votes—the threshold needed to win the presidency—still unclear.
As of now, Harris has accumulated 30 electoral votes, while Trump leads with 154. Recent projections indicate Harris will take Rhode Island, adding four electoral votes to her count, and Illinois, bringing in 19 more.
In the 2020 election, both Rhode Island and Illinois were won by President Joe Biden as he secured his path to the White House. The focus now turns to swing states that could ultimately determine the outcome of the 2024 race.
