Pretty much everything that can be done in the music industry has been done by Dolly Parton.
Still, the icon of country music continues to push herself and increase the breadth of her greatness.
Fans everywhere are reportedly ecstatic to hear that Dolly is finally going to release her debut rock album! One year after declining the nomination because she didn’t think she “earned the right,” the 77-year-old was inducted into the Hollywood Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last year.
Even though Dolly finally allowed her in, it seems like she wants to make sure that nobody can tell that she doesn’t belong. We finally know the release date of the rock album that Dolly had previously pledged to release in honor of her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!
Parton was first hesitant to discuss being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, if reports are to be believed. The singer Jolene was rumored to believe that others could be a better fit because her career comprises primarily of country music.
But in the end, the people had their say, and the electorate determined that Dolly really belonged there. After being inducted into the Hall of Fame in November 2022, she immediately started working to make sure that her nomination had been appropriate.
Dolly has revealed that her upcoming rock album, which is scheduled to be released on November 17, will be called “Rockstar.” This brings the album one step closer to becoming a reality.
The album reportedly contains 30 tracks total, nine of which are original. The final 21 are new takes of songs made popular by the featured artist, along with collaborations with other artists. The album will feature original versions of songs including Sting’s “Every Breath You Take” and Miley Cyrus, Dolly’s goddaughter,’s “Wrecking Ball.”
Stevie Nicks, Steven Tyler, Sir Paul McCartney, Elton John, and other notable visitors are scheduled to make appearances on the album.
