In a recent golf vlog on her YouTube channel, Kai Trump, granddaughter of President-elect Donald Trump, unveiled an intimate glimpse into their bond through the heartwarming voicemails her grandfather often leaves her.
Returning to Trump National Golf Club Bedminster, one of their favorite courses, Kai shared her reflections while playing the front nine holes. During the round, she revealed how listening to her grandfather’s messages brought a warm sense of connection.
“So yesterday, I was going through my voicemails,” Kai explained with a laugh. “I saw a few from my grandpa. If I call him, he always picks up, but if he doesn’t – maybe because he’s in an interview – he’ll call me back, always around midnight when I’m sleeping.”
She added, “I heard things like, ‘Hi Kai, how’s your golf game?’ or ‘It’s your favorite president, how’s school?’ or just ‘What’s up sweetie.’ Listening to them warmed my heart. I felt a little bad for missing his calls, but I always call back in the morning.”
The touching messages reflect a deeper bond between Trump and his granddaughter, strengthened by their mutual love for golf.
Kai, an emerging golf star, capped her round 4-under par and didn’t miss the chance to call her grandfather to share the news.
“Are you out there in Bedminster?” Trump asked proudly before Kai shared her score.
“Yeah, that’s pretty good. That’s good,” he replied, letting slip a moment of shared pride before sharing some of his own.
Their relationship, marked by personal connection and shared passions, continues to resonate with supporters, offering a rare glimpse into their family dynamic.
