Mom gives birth to dead daughter – as she holds baby girl in her arms, husband whispers words she’ll never forget

For Whitney Quinton and her husband Brett, the unimaginable nightmare of losing a child became reality when they had to say goodbye to their daughter before she had a chance to live.

After enduring a miscarriage following the birth of their son, Whitney discovered she was pregnant again three years later. Overjoyed, the couple learned they were expecting a girl, but joy turned to tragedy during the ultrasound. Their daughter had severe abnormalities: a misplaced heart, missing kidney, and underdeveloped bones.

Doctors warned of her low chance for a quality life. Devastated, Whitney and Brett prayed for guidance, ultimately deciding to induce labor. Whitney delivered Ruby-Jo, weighing just one pound, who did not survive.

Whitney described the immediate wave of grief, guilt, and anger, but found comfort in her husband’s words: “She’s home now, with our family in Heaven, and she’s no longer in pain.”

Though the pain remains, Whitney finds solace in knowing they made the best choice for their daughter’s peace. Rest in peace, Ruby-Jo.
