Joe Smith, a devoted father and TikToker, shared the heartbreaking news of his six-year-old daughter Joules’s passing on December 9, 2024. Joules lost her battle with diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG), a rare and terminal brain tumor. She passed away peacefully in her parents’ bed, surrounded by love.
Diagnosed earlier this year, Joules was given just nine months to live. Joe described her as his “best friend and dance partner” and pledged to fill her remaining time with joy—a promise he kept until the end. “She was the bravest, kindest, most beautiful little girl,” Joe said.
To focus entirely on Joules, Joe and his wife, Elisha, stepped away from social media. A GoFundMe campaign, set up by family friend Kirk Norcross, raised over $120,000, allowing them to create cherished memories and ease financial stress. Joe expressed gratitude for the support, saying, “The generosity enabled us to focus on Joules and her happiness.”
The TikTok community honored Joules with the viral “Dancing for Joules” trend, celebrating her love for dance. Joe vowed to keep dancing for his “beautiful little dancing queen.”
Joules’s send-off will take place on December 27 at The Garden of Eden Crematorium in Kent, England. Her story remains a testament to love, resilience, and the profound impact one child can have.
