Inside the life of the extravagant ‘Catwoman’ Jocelyn Wildenstein, and her new face

Plastic surgery surged in popularity during the 70s and 80s, with many celebrities opting for procedures to “get rid of their physical flaws.” Often denying the surgeries, they attributed their looks to “great self-care or quality genes.” Unfortunately, some, like socialite Jocelyn Wildenstein, became addicted, undergoing numerous surgeries to achieve an ideal image.

Born in Switzerland to a modest family, Jocelyn sought a better life through relationships, eventually marrying billionaire Alec Wildenstein. Their 13-year marriage ended after she discovered his infidelity. The divorce made headlines, granting her a record $2.5 billion settlement, with a stipulation barring her from spending it on plastic surgery.

Jocelyn’s transformation began in 1979, inspired by her and Alec’s desire for cat-like features. Reportedly spending $6.7 million on surgeries, she became known as “Catwoman.” Despite her drastic appearance, she insists her look is partly natural, saying, “You still find the same eyes, same high cheeks, or same nose.”

Her ex-husband once criticized her obsession, saying, “She thought she could fix her face like a piece of furniture.” However, her fiancé Lloyd Klein defends her, claiming she looks unchanged from her youth.

Jocelyn now embraces the public eye, working on a documentary about her life. Despite ongoing scrutiny and altered appearances, she maintains her choices reflect her happiness and individuality.
