A 21-year-old woman, Jenna Anne Johnson, has shared her experience after being diagnosed with terminal stage four cervical cancer. On TikTok, Jenna revealed that she initially went to the doctor for an upset stomach, only to discover she had cancer.
Jenna urged women to prioritize smear tests, explaining hers had come back abnormal, leading to further tests that revealed her diagnosis. Cervical cancer, affecting the cervix between the vagina and womb, is most common in women aged 30-35 but can occur at any age. Initially diagnosed as stage three, further scans revealed cancer had spread to 12 lymph nodes throughout her body. “The doctor felt it was no longer curable, which means that it’s terminal,” Jenna shared.
Discussing symptoms, Jenna highlighted two main warning signs: extreme fatigue and severe abdominal cramps. “I was sleeping five extra hours a day… Everyone thought I was lazy, but it turned out to be a cancer symptom,” she explained. The cramps, described as “amped-up period pain,” were so intense that Jenna found herself praying for relief, initially thinking she was constipated.
Currently undergoing chemotherapy, Jenna called cancer her “biggest scare,” emphasizing the importance of living life fully and honestly.
