Their daughter, Maddy, was also diagnosed with PKD in 2013, and her early years were marked by frequent hospitalizations. Despite the challenges, including swelling, vomiting, and an 18-hour sleep schedule, Maddy showed resilience. After two years of struggling with the illness, her father offered her a lifeline, providing hope for her future. Though Maddy was severely undernourished, her health began to improve, marking a turning point in her battle with the disease.
