Anger over ‘wasteful, entitled’ Hollywood stars who broke water-saving rules to tend to their huge gardens

Fury against “wasteful, entitled” celebrities grew as stars like Kim Kardashian faced backlash for squandering water during a severe drought. Critics argue the resources could have been used to protect homes from fires.

Strict water restrictions have been in place since 2022, limiting residents to watering gardens twice a week for eight minutes. However, Ms. Kardashian, living in a $60 million home in The Oaks, exceeded her water allocation by 232,000 gallons that year, earning a fine from city authorities.

Other celebrities, including Sylvester Stallone and Kevin Hart, were also penalized for similar violations.

The Mail on Sunday reports that Ms. Kardashian has since implemented water-saving measures.
