The Home Of A Blues Brothers Star “Totally Burned Down,” Killing The 95-Year-Old Star

An actor from Blues Brothers, Dalyce Curry, has died at 95 in the Los Angeles wildfires. Her granddaughter, Dalyce Kelley, shared the heartbreaking news on Facebook, saying her “beloved grandmother” had passed. “She impacted my life in so many ways. This loss is devastating,” Kelley wrote. Curry’s home in Altadena was destroyed by the Eaton Fire, which caused “total devastation,” leaving only her blue Cadillac intact.

Los Angeles wildfires, among the worst in U.S. history, have displaced nearly 200,000 people, destroyed 11,000 homes, and claimed 24 lives. Fires began on January 7 with the Palisades Fire, followed by the Eaton and Hurst Fires. Winds reached 99 mph, rapidly spreading flames.

Curry’s family mourned her as a beacon of love and resilience. “Momma D radiated positivity and strength,” said another granddaughter, Lorée Beamer-Wilkinson. Curry’s legacy includes roles in Blues Brothers and The Ten Commandments.
