Body language expert reveals what happened when Melania ‘turned her face’ as Donald Trump missed a kiss during the inauguration

Before addressing the nation, Donald Trump was sworn in as the 47th president, marking the end of Joe Biden’s term. At the inauguration, Trump described himself as a “peacemaker and a unifier,” declaring, “The golden age of America begins right now.”

An awkward moment occurred when Trump leaned in to kiss Melania, who wore a custom Eric Javits hat. She turned her face, leading to an air kiss. Body language expert Judi James noted their interaction seemed “out of sync,” but highlighted Melania’s smile as a sign of gratitude and unity, signaling their partnership in the White House.
