CBS News Team Rushes Into Burning House In LA To Save 3 Dogs

A Los Angeles couple faced heartbreak when wildfires threatened their home while they were away. Their three dogs, Alma, Archie, and Hugo, were trapped inside as roads became impassable. “It’s this feeling of helplessness,” Andrea, the owner, recalled.

With no way in, they contacted CBS reporter Jonathan Vigliotti for help. Risking flames, Jonathan and Andrea’s friend Christian rescued the dogs, breaking into the house. “The house was on its last legs,” Andrea shared.

The dogs were saved just before the house burned down. Grateful, Andrea reflected: “At the end of the day, it’s all stuff—life is what matters most.”
