It’s been a rough few years for Simon Cowell

Simon Cowell is one of the most famous names in the music industry, known for discovering talents like One Direction and Kelly Clarkson through his reality shows. He began as a music producer in the 80s but rose to fame in 2001 as a judge on Pop Idol. He later created The X Factor and Got Talent franchises, now popular worldwide.

Over recent years, Simon faced two accidents, including a severe electric scooter injury requiring back surgery. He warned others about electric bike dangers, saying, “This thing was nuts. I didn’t know how powerful it was before I got on it.”

Simon shares a son, Eric, with longtime partner Lauren Silverman, calling fatherhood “the most fantastic thing to happen in my life.” Despite his $600M fortune, Simon won’t leave it to Eric, stating, “Your legacy has to be giving others opportunities.”

Simon’s empire continues to inspire millions.
