In an interview with Fox & Friends, Melania Trump reflected on her return as First Lady after her husband’s second inauguration on January 20. She noted, “The difference is I know where I will be going. I know the rooms where we will be living. I know the process.”
Melania revealed challenges during their first move, citing withheld information from the Obama administration. In her book Melania, she wrote, “Unfortunately, my plans to begin preparing the residence before the inauguration were disrupted by protocols and politics,” adding, “Sadly our team did not receive the access we had requested to visit the White House residence in December.”
Delays affected preparations for her son Barron, who stayed in New York until the school year ended. She prioritized creating a comfortable space for him, saying, “Barron’s room was a priority.” She also described the residence as “outdated or not to my taste” upon their arrival.
