Georgie Swallow, a 28-year-old content producer from London, is raising awareness about Hodgkin lymphoma, a cancer affecting the immune system. She initially dismissed her symptoms as stress, saying, “I thought visiting a doctor was wasting everyone’s time.”
Georgie experienced intense itching, severe enough to break her skin and disrupt her sleep. Despite trying various treatments, including creams and lifestyle changes, nothing worked. “The doctor thought it could be stress, allergies, or urticaria,” she explained.
Her diagnosis at 28 led to life-altering challenges, including early menopause caused by treatment, preventing her from having children naturally.
By sharing her story, Georgie hopes to encourage others to trust their instincts and seek medical advice for persistent symptoms. Her experience highlights the importance of early detection and not ignoring unusual changes in your body.
