President Donald Trump has signed several executive orders targeting illegal immigration, focusing on deporting those without proper documentation. Former ICE director Tom Homan, now appointed as the administration’s “border czar,” emphasized that anyone in the country illegally is “on the table” for deportation.
Speaking to ABC News, Homan explained that military forces are aiding efforts at the Mexican border, with Trump aiming to “send a strong signal to the world: our border’s closed.” Deportations will begin with public safety and national security threats, expanding to include more individuals over time.
When asked if millions would be deported as promised, Homan confirmed, stating, “You’re going to see the numbers steadily increase.” He reiterated that entering the country illegally violates U.S. law under Title Eight, Section 1325, urging those without legal status to leave voluntarily.
