Liam Payne, former One Direction singer, died on Wednesday, Oct. 16, at 31 after falling from the third-floor balcony of his CasaSur hotel room. Initial reports suggested Payne “jumped,” but new evidence indicates he may have been trying to escape. Witnesses and surveillance footage reveal Payne was “causing a ruckus in the hotel lobby while visibly under the influence” before hotel staff carried him to his room. Though conscious moments earlier, he later fell under unclear circumstances. Authorities are re-examining the incident as questions remain.
