During the incident, a customer with a concealed-carry permit intervened, drawing his firearm and warning White, “Don’t move.” When White turned toward him, the customer fired, injuring White. White’s family expressed outrage, questioning the shooting’s necessity. The customer defended his actions, stating he acted to protect others.
