Ryan Castellucci, a non-binary American living in London, vows to appeal after a UK court ruled that their gender identity “cannot be legally recognised.”
Ryan, legally recorded as non-binary in California, has been battling for a UK gender recognition certificate (GRC) since 2019. However, the UK system only allows “male” or “female” options.
Hoping to change this, the cyber security expert took the government to court but was denied. Ryan remains determined to fight for recognition.
