Canadian Cafes Are Trolling Donald Trump By Renaming Their “Americano”

Canadians Protest Trump’s Threats with Coffee Renaming

Since returning to the presidency, Donald Trump has targeted Canada, threatening “economic force” to make it the 51st state and imposing 25% tariffs on Canadian goods.

Fed up, Canadians are protesting in a unique way—by renaming “Americanos” to “Canadianos” in cafes from Ottawa to Toronto.

Toronto cafe owner William Oliveira said the change is about “standing up for being ourselves” and reminding others “we’re not to be pushed around and bullied.”
