Trump Pauses Ukraine Aid Amid Peace Dispute
A senior White House official confirmed, “We are pausing and reviewing our aid to ensure that it is contributing to a solution.” The decision came after Trump criticized Ukrainian President Zelensky for saying peace with Russia was “very, very far away.”
Trump called it “the worst statement that could have been made,” claiming Zelensky doesn’t seek peace with U.S. support.
Vice President JD Vance accused Zelensky of “needling” Trump and showing “a certain sense of entitlement.”
Zelensky responded, “We very much hope on U.S. support on the path to peace.”
