‘Not a litre until Trump…’: Norwegian firm cuts US military fuel supply

One of Norway’s largest oil and shipping companies, Haltbakk Bunkers, has halted fuel supply to the US military following Donald Trump’s treatment of Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The company announced the decision on Facebook, stating, “We have today been witnesses to the biggest shitshow ever presented ‘live on TV’ by the current American president and his vice president.” The post, later deleted due to heavy traffic, praised Zelensky for his composure, adding, “Huge credit to the president of Ukraine restraining himself… even though USA put on a backstabbing TV show.”

Haltbakk Bunkers declared an immediate end to fuel provision for American forces in Norway and US Navy ships at Norwegian ports.

The company urged others to follow suit, saying, “We encourage all Norwegians and Europeans to follow our example.”

The move highlights rising tensions between the US and its allies over the handling of the Ukraine conflict.
