Zelensky Seeks to Mend Ties with Trump After Dispute

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed gratitude for U.S. support and called for improved relations with Donald Trump after a disagreement at their Friday meeting disrupted a mineral deal.

Gratitude for U.S. Support
“We do really value how much America has done to help Ukraine,” Zelensky said, recalling Trump’s past aid, including Javelin missiles.

Regret Over Dispute
“Our meeting… did not go the way it was supposed to be. It is regrettable,” he admitted.

Call for Constructive Ties
“It is time to make things right… future cooperation and communication [should] be constructive.”
