Hot mic moment that caught JD Vance complaining about Trump during Congress speech has people making same point

US Vice President JD Vance suffered an embarrassing blunder after being caught mocking Donald Trump before his Congress speech. The incident quickly went viral, with many speculating the slip-up was not accidental.

While waiting at the podium, Vance joked, “I think the speech is going to be great, but I don’t know how you do this for 90 minutes.” House Speaker Mike Johnson replied, “The hardest thing was doing it during Biden when the speech was a stupid campaign speech.”

The pair seemed unaware that their microphones were on, with Johnson only lowering the mic mid-conversation. Vance then leaned in to share a comment, but the audio was obscured.

The footage sparked online reactions, with one user writing, “Oh noes! We didn’t know the huge mic we were standing near would be on… The world is a stage.” Another speculated, “I doubt it was an unknown not mic moment. I think it gave them a chance to speak the truth!”

The incident follows resurfaced videos of Vance criticizing Trump before becoming his vice president, further fueling discussions about his loyalty.
