Five Eyes alliance’ crumbling after UK, Aus, NZ and Canada give US cold shoulder

Allies in the “Five Eyes” intelligence alliance—Britain, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the U.S.—are reconsidering how much to share with Washington due to Donald Trump’s shift in U.S.-Russia relations. Nations like Saudi Arabia and Israel are also wary.

“Those discussions are already happening,” an NBC source said, as allies assess the impact of Trump’s policy changes, including halting military aid to Ukraine.

A Western official warned of a “historic shift” in U.S. policy.

Despite concerns, White House spokesperson Brian Hughes insisted Trump remains “clear-eyed on all threats” and will work with partners who understand today’s dangers.
