The parents of 13-year-old Esra Haynes, who died after chroming, are warning others about its dangers. Esra inhaled toxic chemicals at a sleepover in Melbourne, Australia, in March 2023.
Her parents, Andrea and Paul, thought it was a normal night until they got a call to pick her up, finding her unresponsive. Esra was on life support for over a week before doctors confirmed irreversible brain damage.
The family made the heartbreaking decision to say their final goodbyes. “We don’t want any other family to endure this heartbreak,” Paul said.
Now, they are dedicated to raising awareness to prevent similar tragedies.
