19-year-old Luca Manolache was a professional football player who played for Metaloglobus București until August 2024, before he was forced to put his career on hold due to a series of health issues.
According to reports, Luca began experiencing “prolonged dizziness, bloody stools, and chills.” His condition worsened over time, and he “lacked energy to finish even the first halves of the matches during the past couple of months,” as per the Daily Mail.
Despite numerous medical consultations, doctors initially struggled to pinpoint the cause. Luca’s persistent symptoms eventually led to a more thorough investigation.
In September 2024, specialists diagnosed him with a rare gastrointestinal disorder, which requires long-term treatment and rest. The young athlete was advised to step away from football to focus on recovery.
Although sidelined, Luca remains optimistic. He’s focusing on his health, hoping to return to the sport he loves once fully recovered.
