Leah Messer, well-known from *Teen Mom*, became a mother at 16 to twins Aliannah and Aleeah. “That was the life for many women before me,” she told *Vogue*. “This was what was expected.” Now 32, Leah reflects on how far they’ve come in *Teen Mom: The Next Chapter*. Her twins are 15, the same age she was when she became pregnant. She admits, “It’s the little things, like booking their first gynecologist appointments… that I think will be enough to break the cycle.”
Leah opens up about her worries as her daughters start dating. Aleeah is preparing for her first high school dance, and Leah confesses, “I have a hard time accepting the whole relationship. Right now, it’s too young.” She adds, “I got married by the time I was 18 and 19 twice before the age of 20.” Leah hopes her daughters won’t repeat that pattern.
A touching moment happens when Aleeah’s boyfriend picks her up, greeting Leah and her ex-husband Corey Simms respectfully. Leah later hosts an after-party, saying, “I want them to have fun in a safe environment.”
Leah also continues to support Ali, who was diagnosed with a rare muscle disease. “We’re going to enjoy every single moment now,” Leah says, proud of Ali’s progress with equine therapy and her growing strength.
