Just over two weeks after President Donald Trump’s return to the White House, a Democratic congressman has launched a new impeachment campaign, signaling another potential showdown in Congress.
Rep. Al Green, a Democrat from Texas, took to the House floor on Wednesday to announce his effort, stating, *“The movement to impeach the president has begun.”* Green declared he will introduce Articles of Impeachment against Trump for *“dastardly deeds proposed and dastardly deeds done.”*
This marks another attempt by Green, who has previously called for Trump’s removal. His renewed push comes amid rising tensions between the two parties and ongoing debates over Trump’s actions since returning to office.
While some Democrats have expressed caution, Green insists it’s necessary to hold the president accountable. He argued that *“history will judge us by what we do”* in response to Trump’s conduct.
