4 things many people do in the morning that put themselves closer to a stroke

Maybe everyone has heard about stroke. It’s not just something that happens to the elderly anymore—“stroke now not just happens to the elderly but to many young people.” Stroke is dangerous, and if not detected and treated quickly, it can seriously affect our lives. According to Dr. Nguyen Xuan Quang (Military Medical Academy), there are common morning habits we should avoid to reduce stroke risk.

First, “you need to stop the habit of jumping up in the morning immediately.” Sudden movement after waking can cause a spike in blood pressure, increasing the risk of a hemorrhagic stroke. Instead, lie down for 1-2 minutes and gently massage your face and neck before getting up.

Second, avoid drinking salt water immediately after waking. “Eating too much salt has long been warned that it can cause high blood pressure, stroke, kidney damage…”
Third, don’t exercise too early. When it’s cold and dark, “cold weather can easily cause vasoconstriction… and stroke.”

Lastly, don’t drink too much water at once. “It will increase the load on the heart,” especially for people with heart problems.
Small habits matter. Let’s stay cautious each morning.
