The geopolitical landscape looks like a warzone right now, and it’s not just the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict causing concern. Former President Donald Trump is attempting to broker peace, but “it doesn’t look like Russia’s President Vladimir Putin is willing to back down anytime soon.”
Meanwhile, America is trying to secure a mineral deal with Ukraine. However, after a failed meeting between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, “peace seems like it couldn’t be further away.”
Tensions are rising, with talk of a potential World War III. Putin has hinted at using Russia’s nuclear arsenal, threatening a “global catastrophe.” The situation has led some to warn that “America is already said to be one of the most dangerous places in the world to be if the bombs stop dropping.”
In a conversation with Laura Ingraham, Trump described the dire state of ceasefire talks. “Right now, you have a lot of guns pointing at each other and a cease-fire without going a little bit further would have been tough.”
He also noted Russia’s tactical upper hand: “Russia has the advantage, as you know they have encircled about 2,500 [Ukrainian] soldiers. They’re nicely encircled and that’s not good.”
