Stranded astronauts Barry Wilmore and Sunita Williams finally returned to Earth on March 18 after spending nine months in space. Originally set for an eight-day mission to the ISS in June 2024, complications extended their stay drastically.
They were brought back aboard the SpaceX Dragon and “whisked away on stretchers” upon landing. Experts warn they face health issues, including “chicken legs,” “baby feet,” and a higher cancer risk.
NASA’s Johnson Space Center will conduct tests, as concerns rise over their “visible physical transformation.” The pair appeared “gaunt,” having “lost quite a bit of weight.”
