Ironic image of Supreme Court spelling mistake goes viral as Trump defunds Education Department

The ‘perfectly’ ironic image of a major Supreme Court spelling mistake has gone viral again as President Donald Trump signed an executive order to defund the Education Department. On Thursday, the 78-year-old Republican announced plans to “facilitate the closure” of the 45-year-old institution. “Today we take a very historic action that was 45 years in the making,” Trump said. “Everybody knows it’s right.”

Despite Trump’s declaration, Congress holds the actual power to dismantle a federal agency, and legal challenges are expected.
As news of the executive order spread, a photo from a Louisiana Supreme Court ceremony resurfaced online. The image shows a glaring typo: “Louisnana” instead of Louisiana. X user @covie_93 shared the snap, writing, “Speaker Mike Johnson from the great state of ‘Louisnana’ wants to get rid of the Department of Education.”

The post quickly racked up over 4.5 million views, with users mocking the blunder. One joked, “Who is Louis’ Nana?” Another quipped, “How the hell do you screw up your own state’s name?”A court spokesperson explained the typo was due to “artwork provided by an outside entity,” and the mistake wasn’t caught before the ceremony.
